RE: BOOTY CALL

our session with neko (hopefully i spelled his name right) we had a very "unique" lesson. well me and rafael did. we learned a lot about posing and action shots. we learned how to be mad or afraid in a picture and really portray that emotion. it was actually really entertaining. i admit i dont like posing and all of that... but i am sure that in the future it might be very useful. we strayed a bit away from the topic in some parts and learned a few health tips which were actually very good to know and i can see its application in my life. i really liked working with him. but over all the best part was of "BOOTY CALL" haha i admit it was insanely random and has very little application. at least none i ever intend to use but it was entertaining. o now know what to look out for haha. i hope that in the future we have an opportunity to work with neko on stuff in the event of amanda being sick or gone for whatever reason. but i sincerely hope she has no further reason to be gone.

Re:video

I thought the video was both depressing and fun. It really showed how much power photography has in the media as well as the negative effects it can have because of that. Personally i can't stand the media (for the most part) but I will say I don't see much actual value in these pictures being used in the media unless they have some good message to use???? Photography definitely has a dark manipulative side..... But I do believe that it can be used to put good messages out there to not exactly shape public opinion but to maybe inform? But over all I think it was just testifying to the power of photography on us, for better or for worse

us walking towards the U.S Mexico border.
When you see these people looking on what do you feel? what emotion do you get that words cant speak?
what does this wall tell you? seeing the enclosure as opposed to hearing about it leaves a much bigger impact. can you put yourself in that situation? you would probably assume it is hard and it reminds them of how much greener the grass is on the other side.
last but not least. what impression/impact does this leave on you that words can not say? seeing where someone either cut or poured acid on the wall in order to break through really shows how others feel about it.

Photography has an insaely huge impact in the media. it leaves the biggest impact. you allways hear about celebrity divorces or a ship crashing and so on. the article itself leaves quite an impact but once you actually see the ship submerged or the angry couple holding their children walking off it doesnt really hit you. a photo tells a thousand words and will hit you more personally then anything else.
